"The time is now for each of us... I invite everyone who's listening to recognise that you are the leaders, you are the people, you are the individuals, you are the beings on this planet who can make a difference.
Each of us will do that in different ways and that's what makes it powerful"
-Kate Williams CEO of 1% for the Planet
We're proud to be fighting for our planet
Here at Coffee Tools Distributing, we believe that sustainability is key to preserving the world we live in - there's no Planet B, right?
We love this beautiful country of Australia, we call home and we want our children and our children's children to be able to live in it, enjoy it and experience it in all its glory, diversity and uniqueness. Unless we start fighting for this, the sad reality is, it just wont last that long, unless we make changes. Things need to change, not just here though, but globally.
In addition to this sincere concern for our world, we also believe in a fair and ethical coffee trade, not just for the farmers who grow the coffee we so enjoy, but also for their families and the communities they live in. Coffee is truly the source of what we do here at Coffee Tools and is an essential part of the lives of the people who work here.
For all of these reasons and more, we have chosen a handful of not-for-profit organisations who we believe are making a significant difference to the issues that are close to our hearts.
Coffee Tools Distributing is a proud 1% for the Planet member, which means that we commit to giving 1% of our earnings back, in order to aid organisations dedicated to improving our planet, its flora and fauna and its people.
Current 1% for the Planet Partners
1% for the Planet represents a global network of businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations tackling our planet's most pressing environmental issues. Through 1% For The Planet, we've been able to provide much needed funds to Project Waterfall who strive to bring clean water to coffee growing communities. We believe that it's just not right that while we enjoy the purest, filtered water in our coffee, the communities at the end of its supply chain face a water crisis. Project Waterfall are working hard to make a difference to coffee growers and their communities all over the world in order to bring clean water, sanitation and education.
